After finishing my degree and teaching qualification (PGCE) in French and Spanish I taught both languages up to A Level in a local secondary school, before becoming a private tutor when I had my own children. Since then I have taught a wide range of students from state and private schools, including UK and overseas students at top boarding schools, individually and in groups.

 

I have also worked with many home educated students, in groups as well as individual tuition. With personal experience of home education I am ready to help you follow the next stage on your learning path.

 

I am just as determined to help a struggling student achieve a respectable pass, as to assist a higher candidate nudge their GCSE grade up to a 9 or their A Level to an A*. I am also a GCSE Spanish and French exam assessor for a major exam board and I do the speaking exams for private exam centres each year.

I can very quickly assess the strengths of a new student and support you by focusing on key areas that will help you gain more points in exam papers. A Higher student may need to add more complex phrases and irregular verbs to their repertoire. For a student aiming for a comfortable pass, we can cut corners, practising a narrower range of carefully chosen verbs and vocabulary lists that will get you through the required hoops. Some students come to me for last minute help before exams, others want a longer approach. Either way, tailor made, one to one tuition can move you on very quickly.
